Story Time in the Garden Fosters Love of Reading

Story Time in the Garden Fosters Love of Reading
Children heard bluebonnet-themed stories among the bluebonnets during story time at Mercer Botanic Gardens in Precinct 4.

Introduce your child to the story book setting of Precinct 4’s Mercer Botanic Gardens with Children’s Story Time in the Garden, held the third Monday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at no cost.

Longtime volunteer Sherry Cruse combines two enchanting stories and a coloring activity with the sites, sounds and smells of Mercer, perfect for stimulating your child’s imagination.

Bring your child to the next Children’s Story Time in the Garden, Monday, April 20. Story time is usually held under the tree house near the small pond, but locations may change depending on the weather.

With leadership from Commissioner R. Jack Cagle, Mercer Botanic Gardens is a Harris County Precinct 4 Parks facility located one mile north of FM 1960 at 22306 Aldine Westfield Road in Humble, 77338. Harris County Precinct 4 programs serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, sex, religion, national origin, or physical ability. Anyone seeking additional information or requiring special assistance to participate in any program should contact Mercer at 281-443-8731 or online at www.hcp4.net/community/parks/mercer
