Temple Beth Torah in Humble is inviting the entire community to a fun-filled Open House on Sunday, August 26thfrom 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Award-winning musician and singer Rachel Buchman will lead us on a journey through the year in music. Ms. Buchman, a native New Yorker who specializes in Jewish holiday music, has taken her magical guitar and spirited talents all over the United States and abroad. Whether you're young or old (or somewhere in between), you'll enjoy her energetic performance.
"TBT's annual Open House has always been a great way to reconnect with the community and gear up for a wonderful new year," said Rabbi Dan Gordon, who is beginning his 14th year as the spiritual leader of the temple. "Rachel Buchman's spirit and energy are a perfect way to experience how fun it is to be part of the Jewish community."
After the concert, stay and enjoy some bratwurst and beer! Kosher-style hot dogs, as well as soft drinks, will also be served.
The Open House is a great opportunity to find out about High Holiday services at TBT in September, talk with the temple's Board of Directors, meet the Religious School staff and register for classes, and learn about TBT's many adult education and social programs.
There is no charge to attend this event, which is open to all. Ms. Buchman's appearance is kindly underwritten by the temple's Tom Theriot Memorial Program Fund.
Whether you're a TBT member, an occasional visitor, or someone who just wants to know more about who we are, you don't want to miss the Open House! Temple Beth Torah is located at 320 Shallow Drive in Humble. For more information about this and other temple events, visit www.temple-beth-torah.org or leave a message at (281) 446-5611.
