On October 8th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, ladies from all over will descend on Humble for a "hot" night out on the town. The Humble Area Chamber is hosting their much anticipated “Ladies Night Out” event with the theme this year being the “Derby Divas.”
One of the main attractions, besides the luxurious pamper stations, will be the Houston Firefighters “Men-on-Fire” Calendar Guys. The calendar will be available for purchase with the proceeds going to the Salvation Army. Aaron Bond, one of the firefighters says, “this is just one of the events we’re so pleased to attend each year that helps publicize our cause.” He brings several of the Calendar Guys with him every year to help out where they can and pose for pictures. So far, Bond has attended all four of the Ladies Night Out events and just loves all the excitement.
Another alluring part of this event is the addition this year of “Jewelry Grab Bags” donated by Thomas Markle Jewelers. There will be 50 bags available for purchase with jewelry pieces ranging from $50 to over $1500 in each bag. Thomas Markle (known as the “Hearts-on-Fire” Jeweler), provided these bags for the “Go Red” luncheon this year, too. Markle said, “the event was so exciting and the ladies just loved receiving jewelry for their donations.” He continued by saying, “I love donating to my community, especially knowing this is going for a good cause and helping others.”
The event itself is full of fun and festivities, complete will live music, amusing games, silent auction items, raffle prizes, a “derby style” buffet, cocktails, and fabulous shopping.
Proceeds will go to benefit the “Women Helping Women Endowment Fund” at the Lone Star College, Kingwood Campus. Tickets (starting at $50), are on sale at the Humble Area Chamber office, located at 110 W. Main in Humble, Texas, or online at www.HumbleAreaChamber.org.
