Humble, TX: Members of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) Lake Houston Chapter recently toured Including Kids, Inc. in Humble to see the sensory equipment which was purchased through the group’s fund-raising luncheon last May. WCR raised $21,000 through sponsorships and ticket sales to benefit Including Kids, a non-profit organization for children with autism and related disorders.
Trying out the sensory swing is Rory, an Including Kids student. Three other students Ethan, Eric and Thomas (from left on the floor) await their turn. WCR members attending the tour were: (kneeling from left) Tammy Ivy and Debra Row; (standing from left in first row) Dorothy Hyatt, Carol Alford, and Eileen Bustamante with Including Kids Director Jennifer Dantzler; (standing from left in back row) Mariah Matejowsky, Phillip Scalise, Tom Gallagher, Susan Brown and Karen Fitzgerald. WCR is a network of successful Realtors empowering women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
“We thank God for WCR, because we could never have afforded all the equipment needed without their help,” said Dantzler. “Every penny raised directly benefits the children.” She explained that the equipment helps children with sensory delays channel their behaviors.
